I could remember in the early eighties, when the economy was beginning to crumble, we (Dad, Mum, my older brother, and I), were gathered at the dinning to discuss the situation and proffer necessary measures so as to sustain our standard of living.
Innocently, my brother and I were made to see the reasons why we needed to change our choice of milk consumption from liquid (Hollander), to powder (NIDO) due to hike in price of liquid milk. We had to adjust in a hard way to the new standing measures. Although, it affected us, I mean my brother and I, but we adjusted.
These days, it's either you don't even drink milk at all, not breast milk, but the irony of it all is that, not so many live the life I 'd enjoyed when so young. My younger ones should not mind me for saying this, they never had the stuffs we (my older brother and I), enjoyed while growing up.
